Simple Minds

Simple Minds returned to Glasgow for a hometown gig as part of the Glasgow Summer Sessions series at Bellahouston Park.
They are the band that I have, by far, seen live more than any other; I reckon this is maybe the 17th or 18th time!
Had to choose this photo as my Main picture, featuring as it does on the background screen part of the iconic Glasgow cityscape.
Lead singer Jim Kerr said that although both him and guitarist Charlie Burchill grew up in Toryglen and frequented many of the city’s parks, they had never before been in Bellahouston Park - possibly because they didn’t have the bus fare then, but now they have their bus passes they’ve finally made it!
They were great, as (mostly) always; a few showers didn’t dampen the audience enthusiasm.
