Almost every morning, Fletcher and I are treated to witnessing this Swallow-tailed Kite pair's preening routine. They perch in the early morning sun on two high tree snags and meticulously care for every single feather, or so it seems. Next a few full-wing stretches and then off they fly to hunt for breakfast. m
