Small Tortoiseshell

I should have got out in search of suitable subject earlier in the day, when the conditions were better.  The sky was overcast and there wasn't much breeze.  Instead, I did the grocery shopping and set out to write the minutes of last night's zoom meeting.  By the time I did think about photography it was hot, sunny and really quite breezy.  

I'm not over enamoured with this photo - there is too much busy background and I'd have preferred the near wing to be a bit more within the available depth of field.  But it is the only shot I've taken today, so its my blip :-)
