Edinburgh in the sunshine
Blipped after seeing an exhibition at Stills in Cockburn Street entitled After the End of History: British Working Class Photography 1989 – 2024, although quite why it was called that, we couldn't work out. It was supposedly connected to the assertion by the economist Francis Fukuyama that the fall of the Berlin Wall celebrated the triumph of Western Liberal Democracy as the only viable future for global politics and as such represented the "End of History". Make of that what you will. I think the three of us Wifies thought it was a good exhibition but weren't sure what photographs we would take on that theme which is part of the remit of the exhibition visit.
