Life's Little Moments

Baby

There is an explosion of baby birds in the garden now including at least 3 young Cardinals and a handful of Tufted Titmice.  This in addition to three species of woodpeckers with young.  A fun time of year. You can easily tell that this is a juvenile cardinal because of the subdued color of the feathers and the pale beak.  She's lovely, isn't she?

It's warming up a bit more today with a high of 83F expected.  The day started with a nice cloud cover but now the sun is shining brightly.  Pretty, but not ideal for photography so I will work on some non-photography things this afternoon.

I am leaving in one week for Brazil - holy crap!  I started making a little pile of things that need to make it into my suitcase for the trip - things like external hard drive, battery chargers, electric adapter, spare cards and so on.  Clothes are hanging in a closet in my studio so I won't forget to pack anything, hopefully.  Camera gear is settled although I may throw a third short lens in if my camera bag isn't too heavy.   First world problems.

Our local strawberries are done now but blueberries are showing up at the farms so I'm headed out to get a carton of them for our overnight oats tomorrow morning.

xoxo
