Tiny tape

When I was in England for work I ordered some tape belts for my old Commodore 64's C2N datasette. The C2N is basically a tape payer but it's actually very well designed and built but notoriously slow. The belts on mine are over 40 years old and had stretched and were slipping, hence the new ones.

After work I opened it up to change the belts and decided it was too dirty, and needs a clean first. Here is my before picture, it's amazingly mucky. There is black grease everywhere, and hairs stuck to in the grease - which I suspect are probably black labrador hairs - I had a lab growing up and her hair got everywhere...
