At Last!!

I have been wanting to catch an Emperor Dragonfly in flight for a while.
They are pretty rigid sort of creatures, always patrolling up and down, presumably to see off any rivals.
This splendid fellow was at Hoe Grange Quarry. a Derbyshire Wildlife Trust reserve near Brassington in Derbyshire. It was a very pleasant afternoon, full of of interesting and beautiful wildlife.
