Bus Pass Walk
Backblip for Tuesday 24/6. Buses to Saltaire then down the hill for refreshments at The Higher Ground. A walk along the canal back to Bingley - photo taken from the bridge approaching Dowley Gap. The canal was very low in parts. Back in Bingley we went to a new cafe where you can purchase refreshments and also build Lego creations if you wish (at a price!). A good concept, but sadly the staff seemed overwhelmed and that was not helped by the card reader going down! The food was not great, and B's unidentifiable soup looked like a very muddy swamp, and the spoon could easily have stood upright in the bowl as the texture was so thick! Hopefully things will improve once they get into the swing of things. We then went to the community cinema to see a 2010 film "Wild Target" with Emily Blunt, Bill Nighy, Rupert Grint and several other well known actors in a comedy about a professional assassin of all things. An enjoyable watch. We had a short wait for a bus - we thought - but it then disappeared off the board and we had to wait for the smaller K4 so it made us rather late for 3 & Go. Never mind - a good day!
