Alf’s Lilies

I was up early to walk Dog before it got too hot, and then went into the village to pick up a prescription and get my nails done. Also picked up a piece of cake from the deli for Alf (oh yes, ok, I got one for myself too!

I went to Alf’s - regular readers will remember Alf next door who we got really close to during lockdown. He is now 94 or 95 and has had a cancerous thing grow on his head. It was removed a few weeks ago under local anaesthetic and a piece of skin cut from his neck was stapled and grafted on to the resulting hole! All while he was awake. On Monday he had the staples removed and his daughter has stayed with him until Thursday evening. So, my brief was to take photos and send to her so she could keep checking. She will be back in the week. I didn't think you’d all want to see the photos so snapped a photo of his lilies as I left! I will do the same tomorrow because there had been some seepage and she wants to make sure all is ok!

After that - not a lot apart from several loads of laundry and some housework!
