When we went to pick wild strawberries we also found some wild raspberries and next we will see if the wild gooseberries are ripe as they were still not ready last week.   Meanwhile the Scottish strawberries in the supermarket are really delicious and soon the rasps will be available.    Beside the footpath there are dozens of orchids – mainly Common Spotted and Northern Marsh.
