"Talkin' 'bout (any) generation"

An amazing girls night out this evening!

Dinner at Moro in Exmouth Market, followed by the ballet. Not any old ballet but a contemporary dance telling of Pete Townsend and Rachel Fuller's 'Quadrophenia' at Sadlers Wells.

We found it incredibly moving.

If you are my age you will remember the album (by The Who) the rock opera and and the film (directed by Franc Roddam).

The ballet doesn't follow the same narrative as the film but covers the same themes of alienation, identity and a need for a sense of belonging.

It has a very limited run so very popular. I spotted friends Val and Graham a couple of rows in front of us, plus Peter and Bridget by the stairs. Im sure Spike and Kas were there too somewhere.
