Good night Ruby

Friday.

It is with a broken heart that I have to say we said our goodbyes to Ruby today.

She perked up a little on the steroids last week but had deteriorated since Tuesday and we made the decision to not let her suffer anymore.  Our third lab, she was the cheekiest/naughtiest one we had.  Full of character and life always greeting you with a sock in her mouth… either clean from the basket or dirty off someone’s floor.  Small in size people often mistook her for a puppy and if it wasn’t for the grey hair in later years she would have got away with it and up to the last year she would still play quite puppy like.  As a family she will be sorely missed and the tears have flowed.  In time our hearts will heal but the memories will stay.

We had our sports day today. A super day for the children organised by Josh and kept my mind busy for a while.
