Headstone viaduct

It’s been a very hot and windy day. We set off for Curbsr Edge and enjoyed walking along the top with its glorious views and rock formations. Next we headed to Peter’s stone a limestone outcrop on the edge of a valley. Then onto Cressbrook Weir where the water levels were too low for a photo. We did enjoy our lunch here at the side of a stream after we had walked past a group of rock climbers.

After lunch we headed for Mondale Head with this view of the viaduct. It was by now getting very hot and busy. There was an event of some kind on. Such hot weather for them. We decided to head home it was so hot.

After tea we visited Matlock and Matlock Bath. Both very interesting places especially Matlock Bath was its fish and chip shops, amusement arcade’s, groups of bikers. Just like a seaside resort.

An interesting but hot day.
