Home grown

W had a busy day in the garden, planting stuff, weeding, clearing bolted lettuce and herbs.  When he packed up in the evening, he was itching, with multiple gnat/midge bites on his back!

I was mainly inside.  I did hang out a load of washing.  Once it was dry, I tidied that, and another load, folded, did a bit of ironing.  I did some fluting - we've a band gig tomorrow and it's uncertain which of my fellow flute players will be there, so I needed to just run through the solo bit in case I'm called on to play it.  And I played in the sewing room.

In the evening I harvested the few ripe broad beans, some dark purple French beans (they look black in this photo) and made up a veg serving with some of the many peas.  The peas were actually planted to be eaten as pea shoots, but we couldn't keep up with their growth, and now we have lots of peas.
