A Patch of Blue….

……. And the flood waters are receding. This view is at a point in the river which can be fordable when the water is low. Ruby and I went for a walk late morning. We stuck to sealed paths well away from the river. There were lots of folk, cyclists and dogs walking the same route. We were all checking out the river. My garden is sodden. It is a challenge keeping Ruby out of puddles and mud. I’ve had over 140mm of rain in my rain gauge over the last three days. That is a very large amount for Blenheim. We need some sunny days now to dry the muddy areas as the floods recede.
