Ohau Canal Road

A stunning day - mild, blue, cloudless skies, almost windless.  Stunning, yes, but certainly not conducive to a hoar frost!  I'll take it though....feels like a great second prize to me.

Spent the afternoon shooting birds....well, ducks mainly (extras)....mallard and scaup.  I've realised that scaup are rapidly becoming my favourite ducks - they seem to be quite a social duck but more than that......they're just super cute.  Cuteness and their piercing yellow eyes.  Unfortunately, they also appear to be quite skittish where human presence is concerned so it's hard to get close to them.  There's plenty around here so I may shoot some more sometime.
