My Round
Mrs I kindly offered to chauffeur me this morning , to deliver the newsletter/magazine to the outlying houses that are a bit too far to walk to. With a dog, a ruc sack, a hat and cameras.
Having posted the last few mags, she dropped me at the top of the hill to start my walk. She then went on to visit her 95 year old father , at the nursing home in Wolvehampton.
My round started at Mel's Bench, where a plaque reads ' Take A Pew, and Enjoy The View....Mel died a few years back. Her husband still works the land....sad.
I traversed the upper reaches of the dale but stayed on a contour below the edge (Wenlock Edge), making my way through lanes bursting with wild flowers long grasses. And flies. And midges. And zillions of tiny black thunder bugs. Boy it has been humid.
Eventually I came to the boundary of the Millichope Estate and started down to the village of Munslow. And the very welcome Crown Inn. I treated myself to a pint and they gave Hollie some water which she drank greedily.
After a refreshing break we headed for home, but I had to stop and admire a rather lovely MGB which was being advertised for sale. I wish...

All in all a good walk in stifling conditions and I was relieved to get home for tea and a biscuit.
Hollie collapsed on the cool kitchen floor, I think she doesn't like the heat... groomers tomorrow, that should be better for her.
