Keeping Cool

I knew that any sort of outing would need to be in the early morning before the rising heat became unbearable!

I set off at 7:30 to get to the famous Bread Store when it opens by 8 am on Sundays. I bought my usual sour dough bread and a raisin bun to eat down by the lake which I shared, in crumb form, with a group of chatty sparrows!

I found a lovely bench in the shade by the water’s edge. It was a perfect moment. A friendly Chinese girl asked me to take some photos of her and she offered to take a few of me, so here is one of them in the collage.

What a wonderful and peaceful start to the day and in the coolness of the morning! I took the metro back home and then a bus from the metro stop. It’s only two stops, but the heat was rising and I can walk this evening when the sun has gone down!
