litl hikes

By litl

I don’t know what time the rain stopped during the night but it was good to see some blue sky when I first looked out.

After two days on porridge and pasta I moved onto proper food today. I drove to Grasmere (the church clock in the extra does say ten past eight) and after a blip walk around the village went to the Co-op and bought a quiche and lots of salad bits. As I’ve had no treats since the dentist on Thursday I splashed out today . . . on avocados. I don’t like cucumber so they are my alternative to go in a salad. Rhubarb crumble for pud.

Later I cut back some shrubbery and trimmed some more of the beech hedge. Lots more garden work to do.

Walking past the church in Grasmere I noticed a light though a window. I sometimes wonder about my first choice for a blip . . . the best of the rest are in the extra.
