An extreme heatwave is hitting Europe as temperatures soar above 40C.

The UK had another 30C day today before the heatwave is said to peak on Monday when temperatures could reach 34C. This will only be the fourth time in June since the 1930s.

There was a haze over the sea and it seemed too hot to be on the beach for many. Joni and I ate icecream on our deckchair in the garden.
