Cool for Cats

Unlike some other parts of the UK, we are experiencing a heatwave and have had no significant rain for weeks now.

We’ve done all we can to keep ourselves and the house as cool as possible. Ziggy has also had to adapt. He’s taken to sleeping under the footstool in the lounge in the mornings, a relatively cool room until the sun reaches this south-facing side of the bungalow. After lunch he favours the north facing conservatory, which is a lot cooler since we had an insulated roof installed. However, to help keep him cool we tried putting down a towel dampened with cold water. He’s really taken to this and hops down from the chair to lie on it whenever he gets too warm.
