The Glenlee at the Riverside

Tonight I made a detour into Govan to take some photographs of the Tall Ship, Glenlee in front of the Riverside Museum.

Earlier this year, Glasgow's Riverside Museum was named European Museum of the Year (EMYA) at a ceremony in Belgium. The Museum, on the banks of the River Clyde, opened in June 2011 and showcases the city's transport, shipbuilding and engineering heritage. It was designed by award-winning architect Zaha Hadid.

I like how the shapes of the masts and rigging contrast against the fluid design and form of the Riverside Museum.
