Glorious Piz Gloria!

I yearned for higher peaks today - part to see snow, and part to get up and into cooler air. I headed for the fairly newly built (and in some parts, still being built) Piz Gloria cable cars. The first one is billed proudly as the steepest cable car in the world - it was quite startling.

The view at the top of the range including the Eiger, Münch and Jungfrau was just what o was after. The panoramic restaurant at the top was Blofeld’s lair in Bond’s “On Her Majesty's Secret Service”. I revolved in the revolving restaurant for a good lunch.

Meanwhile Chris joined a Haddenham Classics car run to Sudeley Castle near Cheltenham. It started a bit overcast but cleared up later on. Extra is a photo from the start of the run.
