Sending us to Coventry

After packing up the car we went for a walk round Kenilworth with C&F. It is an ancient place, with a great deal of old and interesting houses, plus of course the castle. C struggled a little by the end as his back is still causing him problems.
We then drove to Coventry, as I had never been. C&F know it very well as they used to live and work there. We spent most of our time in the cathedral, which is spectacular in design and has incredible stained glass, as shown here. Very impressive.
We drove back to Kenilworth and had a late lunch in a Michelin star place called The Cross. Excellent food and we put the world to rights while eating it.
The drive home was again unpleasantly trafficky but not as bad as the way up, so took 4 hours. M&S had made a very nice dinner which was ready shortly after we arrived. They seem to have had a pleasant weekend as well
