Winter colour in the native bush? The new growth on these Drumsticks ( Isopogon anemonifolius) is described as rusty but I've never seen such a display as this. It seems to occur in winter, and it just about rivals the marvellous autumn colours of the deciduous maples, plane trees etc up town. It'll be interesting to see how long it is before the foliage shades into what we (I?) normally think of as typical.
