The Dining Room Ceiling

Another Sunday of Guiding at Hill of Tarvit.

Although the weather was dreich, we did have quite a number of visitors explore the house today.

It  was inevitable that I would spend sometime in the Dining Room. Guides will usually be in at least five rooms during the day, so inevitably, we are very knowledgeable about the complete building.

Again , the letters and dates in the ceiling caused quite a degree of head scratching among the visitors.

Today’s entry shows the four numbers and the four letters moulded into the ceiling.

Interestingly the walls, are carved hardwood, painted to look like plasterwork.

Enjoy.
