Hellish & hot

I left C’s this morning just after 11, this allowed me to get to my neck of the woods with an hour or so to spare. A pit stop for coffee & a sandwich pre my hair appointment at 2.30pm.

Well that’s what I planned, what actually transpired is somewhat different.
Busy all the way down to the A1, which was busier still……..google maps kept altering my eta!? As I got to the M62 it became clear why! It was closed for 3 junctions mid my route arghhh!

I tried to skirt around, Halifax, Huddersfield & over the tops towards Oldham. Everyone else had similar ideas…..some of the narrow B roads the sat nav sent us down weren’t suitable for white van man never mind horse boxes and box vans!!

Everything came to a standstill several times, lots of manoeuvring & even reversing….. then to top it all, a box van 4 or 5 vehicles in front of me didn’t stop and suddenly ran into the back of the little VW Polo in front and shunted it across the lane!!

The sheep in my blip were wondering what all the commotion was although they didn’t seem too perturbed ;-)

I have literally had to stop in Starbucks near home to use their conveniences, so thought I may as well have my lunch, coffee & a sandwich, I’m only 3 hours late.

Needless to say i’ve totally missed my hair appointment, thankfully she can fit me in tomorrow instead……
