Getting better?!
Fortunately Ann seems to be on the mend now. She woke up feeling reasonably OK, but she still didn't feel like she had enough energy to walk me all the way down to the beach and back up the hill. Soooooo we went in the car. She only discovered yesterday, that she could park in the beach car park for free before 9am. How good is that? We walked along the beach and around the 'Island' and back along the beach and by the time we got home, Ann was exhausted again, so had to go back to bed for another couple of hours.
She got up just after 11am and took me into the field for a play with my ball and then did some domesticated chores, before spending the afternoon basking on our very sunny sun terrace. I got another play in the field about 4pm-ish.
Ann's boss phoned her just before 2pm to see how she was cos obv he'd have to arrange cover for her if she wasn't coming in again tomorrow. She's pretty sure she'll make it into work tomorrow. After all she's pretty much spent 48hrs in bed? How much rest does anyone need? And also, she has to go to the 'pub watch' meeting before work tomorrow, which means an hour of sitting down and then only 4 hours on her feet. How hard can it be? Lol!!!
All is good............. She no longer has a sore throat, she hasn't had any nose bleeds today, and she doesn't feel sick. She's still coughing a bit & her nose is still a bit bunged up, but let's face it.................... she's probably just had a bit of a summer cold?!!!!
Unfortunately when my human gets ill, she goes into a bit of a 'Drama Queen' mode and thinks she's dying??!! Fortunately........... she no longer thinks she has COVID & is about to pop her clogs!!!
To be honest, the last couple of days have been very debilitating and she has felt very ill but apart from having breast cancer in 2011 she has never, ever, had any time off work because of illness. The last time she was ill, was in the mid 70s when she had to have four days off school because she had 'Glandular Fever'. And missed going on a field trip to camp out in a bothy somewhere in the wilds of Scotland?!! Not that she wanted to go there anyway?!! BUT in the 60/70s one was just brought up to get on with it. Being ill wasn't really an option. If you said to your parents that you didn't feel well, you just got told there was nothing wrong with you???!!!
Anyway, Ann is pretty sure she'll be back to normal by tomorrow morning, so it'll be back to work for her and back to normal walks for me. Yay!!!
