No ice cream

We moved onto an Aire at Reims today, would have preferred to stay on a site but have a vets appointment in the morning and needed to be close. So hot and we were lucky to get a place with lots of shade. We decided to walk into the centre as it looked like we could do so in shade, and we strolled in sat a while having lunch and then slow walk back. Wonderful selection of ice cream and seats outside to sit and enjoy so Hetty and I waited and hubby went in. Ten minutes later he returned empty handed. It was an order and pay by kiosk and he totally missed it and couldn’t work out why the staff kept handing ice cream to others and not taking his order. We left without ice cream.
Sat watching lots of activity with campers coming and going, which is always the way on an Aire. It is still over 30c at 8pm, really uncomfortable and dreading having to go inside if it doesn’t cool by at least 10 degrees.
We tried cooling Hetty with a wet towel, which she seemed to like.
