A little Rae of sunshine!

Oh boy, more murk today but no wind. I decided to go for a swim anyway - as I was nearing Kitchen Cove the heavens opened and the murk turned to lashing. Well, I was going to get wet anyway so I continued. I wasn't the only mad woman there - Mary was also enjoying a leisurely swim. Actually it was rather nice and the rain stopped for a bit only resuming when I was on my way home. *

How nice to get these sunny pix of Miss Esme Rae - a bit of good weather for them after a couple of horrendous days  with floods and landslips. The two extras are of their trip to Rawhiti caves - Esme had not been before as it's a fairly challenging trek with a lot of scrambling but apparently she coped brilliantly, no grumbling and loved them.

* Holy moly, there are slivers of blue in the sky (19.28) and we've just had a very pleasant walk around the estate and remained dry!  Hopefully this might be the sign of an improvement in the weather for tomorrow my brother is coming over for a couple of days. It's his 70th birthday so we have a few treats planned.

Ad there's a new blog

And we've been singing this  - that's a very odd video
