Golden light at the end of the day

Scorchio! Very warm indeed at 34c this afternoon and still 27c not at 10.00pm.

Before it was too hot I went to the allotment to tidy the grass and edges for our allotment partners while they are away. I harvested a good pile of beans, some potatoes, rhubarb and beetroot all of which I’d planted.

Didn’t do very much after that except go around to the solicitors and do a bit of shopping, standing in front of the chiller cabinets to cool off.

After dinner, with the aforementioned spuds and broad beans, we went for a walk, in the relative cool of the evening. Which is where we saw the golden sun lighting up the grasses. Another hot day tomorrow
