Small Copper

As it started to cool to a mere 30' later this afternoon I had a scout round the hedgerow at the bottom of the garden and was pleasantly surprised to see this small copper butterfly. He was in and amongst the meadow browns and gatekeepers flying from bramble flower to pink bramble flower in the scorching heat.
