Lady Carol of the Fringe...

Finally getting into the Festival groove - headed to see the simply wondrous Lady Carol at the Assembly Rooms* - a five star show beyond doubt.

Also went to the World Press Photo exhibition at the Scottish Parliament - some stunning and powerful shots, but I have to say I did find the ones from Syria almost too much - I actually walked round them with tears streaming down my face. Heartbreaking.





*I'll leave my thoughts on what they have done to the Assembly Rooms as a festival venue for another day - suffice to say that whilst the quality of the refurb is clearly to a very high standard, they have somehow managed to rip the heart & soul out of it. Very sad.
