Another Day

Not looking her best

It was a sticky night but we managed ok.  However, why do cranflies always aim for the face when they're bumbling around in the bedroom because the windows are open?  I'm a real wimp when it comes to insects invading my space.

It is sixty years today since JJ and I first clapped eyes on one another on a blind date.  It's not all been plain sailing but we're still on speaking terms.

I sat outside early this morning enjoying the cooler air, as did a red admiral butterfly and a meadow brown.  Then a couple of young green woodpeckers landed in the trees close by and although I didn't hear or see it, several people saw and heard an Osprey close by.  That is unheard of.
