The view from the loft room this afternoon.

July has arrived!
After another very warm night it is gradually cooling down a bit today.
The heat just saps my whole energy, and sleep has eluded me since our return from the Lizard in SW Cornwall. Interesting to note that where we were staying they had sea mist all day yesterday, on our hottest day of the year up here!
Lack of sleep doesn’t help me to function very well!
It didn’t help that on Sunday I had just bent down to pick up a small tray in one of the flower borders, which has some seeds growing in small pots, when as I was getting up I felt a tweak in the bottom of my back.
This resulted in it being painful to stand up straight!
I was really fed up I can tell you!
And it has curtailed my walks, although in the heat of the past few days I wouldn’t have been going anyway!
It has happened in the past so I knew it wasn’t related to my two wonderful new hips!
Just means I need patience whilst it wears off again, and lots of using my ice pack, and gel for pain relief.
It’s perfectly ok sitting down, but anyone who has had something similar will know how gingerly I begin to stand upright! It made me think so much of Blipper MumOf4Wildlings who is having to have an operation on her back this month. I know that this back episode of mine will gradually right itself, for which I am thankful. For her at the moment it is continual pain.
It was my annual full health check this morning at our medical practice, which is a 10 minute walk. Very ironic!
Stephen walked there with me as I used my one crutch and his arm! I had been hoping to demonstrate the results of my two new hips!
All my health checks were fine thankfully, and this setback is gradually easing a bit.
I have had a refreshing nap this afternoon now it is 26C.
After which I went round opening curtains and the windows up in the loft bedroom, where I took the photo. I am sitting in the summerhouse writing this with a lovely breeze wafting in and making the air outside so much fresher.
Our friend Karen is coming to tea after work, as usual.
And here we are with half of the year gone by.
