The Far East

Today was far too hot for bus pass adventures, so I began the day with an extra coffee on the roof terrace of the hotel, and caught a later bus. The goal today was to visit the first of 3 cities on my list. I’ve seen Ely cathedral from the train and thought it looked splendid. My photo really doesn’t do it justice - it’s amazing. I got a bus from Bedford to Cambridge and from there to Ely. It’s possibly the most difficult place to reach by bus on my travels so far, and once I’d got there, I had to double back to Cambridge.
