Doves of peace

Backblip for Sunday 29/6. Nearly caught up - phew! We had a Churches Together Service today at Denholme Shared Church, and it was also the last service for our rector Richard who will soon be moving to a new parish just over the hill in Keighley. A lovely service and then a buffet lunch before making our farewells. Sad to see him go - but our loss is definitely Keighley's gain - just hope we can find a replacement who also has such a great sense of humour! The collage is of the "Doves of Peace" - part of the Bradford 2025 City of Culture Celebrations. The information states:- "The doves (both knitted and others made from paper plates!) were created by the community and individuals who were asked to consider what peace meant to them. Peace starts within each one of us."  Now if only the whole world could think like that and act upon it.
