Newhaven - false barley

Not a patch on the machair of North Uist, but we are lucky enough to live by the sea, and even this urban seashore has its share of wild plants and wildlife.

I had a day in the office today which means commuting by car then a day in an air conditioned office and it felt wholly unnatural and alien after a week in the tent and battling with the elements. So it was great to get an evening walk by the sea to recalibrate.
