A Bird

On a cold damp day there wasn't much to photograph but I wanted to try out my new 75-300mm lens which arrived yesterday.
It's not an expensive Pro Olympus lens unlike my much more expensive and larger 40-150mm but seems to do a pretty good  job. The trouble with the other is it's so big I rarely use it.
We are planning a trip to Canada in September so just in case I see a bear I'd prefer to be a good distance away:-)

Helen was coming up on the train today but the wild weather threw the network into chaos. It seems the trains have only got back to normal at 5pm. She has postponed till tomorrow.
Our photogroup was planning an excursion on the new metro as well. Fortunately we cancelled that yesterday.
