Brenda

This feels like the slowest week ever. Even though I am aware time always passes at the same speed.

Here I was furtling around at the bank in Kijitonyama trying to settle retirements and balance transfers from recent work trips. Task completed thanks to the helpful Brenda working at my branch.

I’ll probably succeed to submit one of my two deadlines before my leave starts, which is a mediocre result. We work in perpetual states of stress, which extend to our personal lives unless we are exceptionally good at defining boundaries and shutting out triggers. The sheer number of sayings we have to convey feeling overwhelmed is testament to this.

‘I’m at me wits’ end’
‘I’ve ‘ad it up to ‘ere’
‘I’m at the end of me tether’
‘That’s the straw that broke the camel’s back’

Continue ad infinitum.
