Hoverfly

It is usually a couple of degrees cooler on Dartmoor and this morning we took advantage of the temperature difference and had a short walk in the Burrator area. Lots of insects and butterflies everywhere including this hoverfly. The auto identification function on my phone camera tells me it is sericomyia silentis (no specific common name given). It is found in mountain, moorland and bog locations. I am not sure what the plant is, but it looked quite attractive, particularly if viewed large.
