A day in the life

When I'm scraping windows

Hottest day of summer yet, 30 degrees more or less all the time, in the evening, half past nine it was down to 22. I like this very much, it's my sort of temperature.

At four, when it began to cool down a bit, I started phase three, the last one of the ongoing painting-the-house project. The old windows. Luckily there are only six of them and I don't need to paint all sides of them, just the out and inside, not in between. I did the pre-work on four of them today, scraping, washing and sanding. Tomorrow is going to be another great day so i will prepare the last two and start painting the ones I prepared today and be finished by Friday.

In a warm, still evening like this, I can sit on the veranda loosing myself in the view for a long time, listening to some good music while being grateful for my health, my fortunate place on earth and the tasty beer. The good music at the moment is an album by Anouar Brahem, The astounding eyes of Rita
