Motor Omnibus

I have a busy couple of days in London, but found an hour this morning to go to the Transport Museum.  The main attraction was a small photographic exhibition with some old photos from the Museum's archive - roughly 1880s to 1960s - paired with contemporary photos.

My camera club are doing a project later this year with the London Archive, studying some of their old photos of London and taking contemporary photos in similar locations.  I was interested to see how a successful photographer had tackled a similar challenge.

However I must confess that I found that the old photos were much more interesting than the recent ones!

It's impossible to walk through the Museum without admiring the old buses and trams, including this lovely Motor Omnibus.  The Museum is essentially a history of London over the last two centuries seen through the lens of changes in transport, which had huge social effects, and is utterly fascinating.
