An ordinary life....

After the rain...

Well after getting rid of my hip pain yesterday, I woke up this morning with intense pain in my right shoulder!  No idea what is going on!  I think I must be wrestling tigers in my sleep!

So today has been spent fairly sedately, which is so frustrating when there are many things I want to be getting on with!

Despite the sore shoulder I did manage to get some more of the heart blanket crocheted.  Thankfully the pain in my shoulder didn't affect my ability to do that.

There was a really heavy shower of rain mid afternoon and Lola and I went out into the garden afterwards so I could get my blip.  I thought I would only be out there for a few minutes but the air smelt so lovely and fresh, I ended up staying out for ages.  It was so relaxing.

Salad with Italian meats and home made potato wedges for dinner.  Effortless and very tasty.

We bought a new Shark hoover a few months ago but the protective covering on the power cable started to disintegrate.  D contacted their customer service dept yesterday morning and they said they would send out a new hoover in 2-5 business days.  It arrived today.  We bought it from John Lewis and the new one came from there.  Always a great service from them.

The fun part of this evening was watching D re-box the faulty hoover in the packaging from the new one.  Despite taking careful note when unpacking the new one, he was left with a part that wouldn't fit!  After a few attempts and a few bad words, he finally got it all in the box!

And now to bed.  I had hoped to catch up with journals tonight but it's a very early rise tomorrow as Alan has to be at PRI at 8am for an investigative procedure into his ulcerative colitis.  The dental team are also going to take advantage of him being under a GA and do a full dental check including x-rays and scale and polish.  Impossible to do when he's awake.

Most of us would be nervous at the prospect but not Alan. He can't wait to see the nurses!  What a lad!
