Second Day of Class

We had a super fun day today during my Plant ID class. Because all of the students are new to Plant ID I can work with them all equally. We collect samples from the plants on campus and they’re labeled and placed in jars for future reference and study - here’s a blip of the samples.

They have their first “field ID test” next week, so they are nervous. We spent quite a bit of time studying for it, and between me and the students, we came up with some really fun ways of studying in class. What I really love is that the class of 15 students, who didn’t know each other before the class began, have coalesced into a marvelous group that is working together and having a great time!
