Let sleeping bees be
Yesterday fellow blipper LesleyAlsford (from now on in this journal known as 'L') and l took a trip to a nearby ancient woodland area known as Fir and Ponds Wood. There is a meadow there known to have lots of butterflies, unfortunately after all the hot, hot weather it decided to be cooler (lovely), rainy (wonderful) and a bit windy, not ideal butterfly conditions at all, we saw about 4 little black butterflies which moved very fast and so no photos. On the way back to the car, through the woods, l stopped to take a photo of some grasses and found this bee fast asleep hanging onto the grass.
It was wonderful to welcome some cooler weather in ...and a little rain too. There is not much rain in the immediate forecast and the temps are set to be low 20s for a couple of days, l like the rest of the population in the UK, have become obsessed by the weather!
