Apples

Watering my tomatoes last night I noticed the apples on the nearby tree. Last time I looked they were tiny, but they have suddenly grown much bigger. The whole tree is laden, so if the birds don't attack them there is going to be a huge crop this year - they must like the hot dry weather. C my neighbour opposite has already requested some when they are ready as he loves apples. I told him they were quite sharp, so more cookers than eaters - he said that wasn't a problem as his wife could "do something with them" - S looked less enthusiastic! :-))
