Morning all, 

Foggy day then wet yet work begins to repair the valve, a valve bigger than the men fixing it. 
A smaller valve is almost ready to return to service after years being out of service. This helps us manage the flood defences for Edinburgh, which is another part of the job we do. 
Now we just need a decision on our new Controller so we don't have so much cover to do.
The red buoy is where shipping coming to the Locks turn into the approach channel. The ship in fog is travelling out to sea.
