Looking down at the market…
I went up to the Crossan Gallery to see whether I could find anything interesting in their current display but I became more interested in looking down at the market and thinking how I could abstract it. And since I didn’t take any other pics I’d burnt my bridges. So that is my saying of the day.
The origin of the idiom 'burning your bridges' (or 'burning your boats') may come from the Roman military tactic of crossing into foreign land and then destroying the bridge behind you – leaving no option for retreat.
