Joining Forces
The Necanicum River and the Neawanna Creek flow north through Seaside, before joining forces at the north end of town, spilling into the Pacific Ocean.
Highway 101 also flows north through town, but continues on its single-minded way, to spill into the mess of stores and shops that cover practically everything until you forget you were just enjoying nature but now are dealing with commerce, congestion, and car-charging stations that do not work.
In the Extra, Eric watches as some clever guy drives his post-war Chrysler through Astoria’s main drag. He has the body mounted backwards on the chassis and sits in the proper position for driving, but appears to be in his own backseat. Made about as much sense as anything else.
OK, so we were tired, heading home from an all-around nice couple of days at the beach - except for the EV-charging part, though that turned out just fine, too.
